Hi, my name is Monique and I’m the owner of Bitty Bear Magnets.

Bitty Bear Magnets started with two things that mean a lot to me: my family and the place I call home.

I’m a mom to three amazing boys, and they were a huge part of what inspired me to take the leap into small business ownership. I wanted the opportunity to create something of my own while having the flexibility to set my own schedule and still be present for the moments that matter most with my family.

​

That family connection is woven right into the name Bitty Bear Magnets.

​

I’m part of the Brown Bear Clan, which is where the “Bear” in our name comes from. And those three little cubs you see in the Bitty Bear Magnets logo? Each one represents one of my boys. 

​

I love that something as small as a magnet can bring you right back to a favorite place or moment. It might remind you of your trip to Alaska, a day spent fishing, a beautiful view you never want to forget, your wedding day, a family celebration, or simply a really great memory.

That’s what I want Bitty Bear Magnets to be about—turning your favorite moments into little keepsakes you get to see every day.

​

What began with creating magnets inspired by Ketchikan and Southeast Alaska has grown into so much more. I now get to create custom magnets and bring the magnet-making experience to private events, weddings, cruise and tourism events, festivals, fundraisers, holiday parties, and special celebrations.

​

One of my favorite parts of this business is knowing that something I hand-pressed here in Ketchikan might end up on a refrigerator hundreds or even thousands of miles away, reminding someone of a place, a person, or a moment they loved.

​

Bitty Bear Magnets may be my small business, but there’s a whole lot of heart behind it—and three little bears who inspired me along the way.
